Frontline Leadership

As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, a dedicated volunteer firefighter, and with over 25 years of experience in law enforcement, I possess a diverse range of skills and perspectives that are ideally suited for the demands of the sheriff role.

  • My background as Jail Commander is unique. Many sheriffs enter the office with little to no experience of how to run the jail. I have 7 years of experience implementing complex policies that have improved departmental efficiency and safety.

  • I have successfully maintained a narrow margin budget and maximized income resources such as commissary and communications services.

  • I have collaborated extensively with the court system, building reliable and professional relationships with judges and various attorneys.

  • I possess extensive experience in interviewing candidates for various roles within the sheriff’s department and take pride in mentoring new employees to ensure their growth and success.

  • As a road deputy sheriff, I have firsthand insight into the challenges our deputies encounter during each shift, which enhances my ability to manage public service.
